| Gary is a true Albertan,
born in Coleman Alberta and raised in N.W. and S.W. Calgary. It is also
where he married his wife, Sheila, in 1972. He has long ties to the community
and understands the nature and geography of the region. In 1964, Gary joined the Canadian Army, where he gave 29 years of distinguished and decorated service, reaching the rank of Master Warrant Officer before his retirement in 1993. During his time in the service he served two tours with the NATO forces in West Germany, and served 1 tour with the UN Force in Cyprus (UNFICYP). Recognized for his leadership and dedication, Gary was awarded the Canadian Forces Decoration, with clasp (CD1), the UN Medal for Cyprus and the Special Service Medal for his 2 tours in Germany. As he progressed through the ranks, Gary completed numerous leadership and administration courses, taking on greater responsibilities throughout his career. He has also completed basic parachute training, and numerous technical courses. Retiring from active service in 1993, Gary returned to his native Alberta, and settled in the Okotoks area where he currently resides. After building the fence and finishing the landscaping on thier new home, he became restless and sought out new challenges. His familiarity with the region, and the skills he had developed in the Military led to him seeking a career in Real Estate, where his dedication and commitment, as well as his outgoing, friendly nature also proved their worth. Since entering Realty, Gary has accumulated 12 years of solid service, and has been awarded the President's Gold Award for his achievements. Gary prides himself on putting his clients wants and needs first, and works on the philosophy that "My time is Your time." |
